Lights over Dublin

Okay, once again Bruce Sterling rocks my world, this time for linking to an interactive lightshow going on over Dublin.

There’s these 22 huge spotlights, you see, and they’re all motorized, and connected to the internet. Then there’s this Java interface, so that you can design your own light sculptures and have them displayed over Dublin for about 15 minutes or whatever.

I love it when people bend their efforts toward such interesting and creative uses. There’s plenty of smart people out there, but too many of them do nothing, or worse.
